Twelfth shoot back at university.

I initially didn't have this shoot planned, but decided to take some images for my final major project because I had the studio booked for the full day and ended up finishing an earlier shoot quicker than planned. I had done a fashion shoot earlier on in the day and, because the model said she had seen images from my project on Instagram, I decided to used the remaining time to get some new images for my project. I am really happy that I did this, because I have a lot more images to play around with now and therefore have a wider range of photographs to narrow down.

I decided to do everything that I had done previously in my shoots and also do one thing new, which was use one of the mirrors without its handle so that it was just a circle shape. I also decided on using another mirror that was a really strange shape because of how interesting it looked, and experimented with cutting out multiple shapes on one piece of card to shoot through.

I definitely feel like my lighting has improved from my previous shoots as it is a lot more even on the card that I have shot through, and I love how bright the card looks - the colours are really striking. I decided to go with the combination of green and pink because this isn't a duo I have used yet and I am trying to make each shoot different in this respect.

Here are some of the images from this shoot:

Three things I did slightly differently in this shoot was use only the circle part of the original mirror, use a new broken mirror and experimented with using multiple cutouts on the same piece of card. I really love the images that I have created with the new mirrors - I think the round mirror works especially well because of how it matches the other mirrors a lot better because of it being a single mirror being held by the hand. It also matches really well with the image of the piece of card that has a circle cut out of it. I do not think the image with the multiple cut out triangles works very well because of how it is too distracting from what the project is about - I feel like this type of cutout works better for a beauty or fashion image.
