Shoot 2 (test shoot).
Taking inspiration from a previous blog post on the photographer Brandon Woelfel, I did an experiment using fairy lights within the subject of self portraiture. I did this just to get a feel of how I would shoot with someone else using fairy lights and thought it would be a good idea to test the idea before going out and shooting with someone else.
Images from this test shoot:
As this was self portraiture, I had to try and focus the image by holding out my hand at where I was going to sit, set the camera on a timer and then dangle the fairy lights in front of me to achieve the effect I wanted for the image. As I couldn't see what I was taking a picture of, the lights ended up being in front of my face and my face can't be seen very well which makes the images not very effective in what I was trying to achieve. Although this shoot didn't achieve images that worked, I think the experimentation has worked well in looking at how I want to do my next shoot.
