Berlin.
My course had the amazing opportunity to visit the city of Berlin from the 15th to the 17th of January, which was amazing. It was a well deserved break from doing our dissertation for a few days, of which we went to view some galleries and bookshops. I found this trip to be really interesting and it made me feel inspired and ready to head back into university.

Joel Meyerowitz exhibition at C/O Berlin:
This exhibition was amazing, and it made me feel really inspired to get back to university and shoot some new imagery. The first set of images that were displayed both in colour and in black and white were really striking to me because of how interesting I thought it was that the images looked really different when shown in different colour tones. One of my favourite images of the whole show was the one that is shot through a netting material with what looks to be the sunset in the background. I think the colours look so beautiful with the black net in the foreground and the simplicity of the image is really calming and serene.
Bookshop:
This was a bookshop that we visited which I thought was a really good place to help inspire some ideas for our final major projects. There was everything here from landscape and portraiture to fashion and theory. I didn't buy anything from this shop, but I found it useful to look through some books and it helped to spark some creativity in me.
We also went to another exhibition which showed the work of Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton and I enjoyed that exhibition thoroughly as it was mainly fashion based. We were not allowed to take images of the work, which I completely understand, so I cannot show the images from this exhibition. I wrote down the names of some of the images that I felt inspired me so that I could find them online:
Helmut Newton, French Vogue, 1996:
Guy Bourdin, Charles Jourdan, 1980:
