Sixth shoot back at university.

I decided to do the self-portraiture shoot again, but this time asked for some help from one of my friends as I knew that this was something that I needed to do from the previous attempt. In this shoot, I took a portrait of the person who was helping me to give an idea of what I wanted him to take pictures like so that he knew what I wanted. I then posed for him and directed him with what I didn't like about the images he had taken so that I got images that I wanted.

This was a lot more successful than the previous shoot as I didn't have to do everything involved myself - having someone help assist me in the studio took a lot of the stress off of me and therefore it was so much more relaxed than previously trying to do it alone. I tried getting very similar framing to the images that I had taken in previous shots as these had worked really well for this project. In preparation for this shoot, I made sure that I wore a short sleeved tshirt - this is because I wanted to add a slight insight to my personality within the images (this is shown in my tattoos and the bracelets and ring I am wearing). As we were shooting, my friend took a picture that included the side of my head - as soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted him to continue taking pictures like it. I think that this really adds depth to the image and creates another interesting layer to the image. In future shoots, I am definitely going to keep this in mind when taking my images because of how well I think it works. I also think the bright red within the mirror works really well because of the contrast it has with the background.
